Hero Splendor regains the no. 1 position by beating Honda Activa in sales

Hero Splendor again becomes the highest selling commuter in India beating Honda Activa in the month of September 2015. Hero Splendor snatches the No. 1 spot by sold out 13,806 units more than the Japanese manufacturer.

On the whole, the Hero Splendor sold 2,43,188 units in the previous month while the 2,29,382 units were sold of Honda Activa in the market. According to the sales figure, the Hero Splendor beats Honda Activa, which was the highest selling two-wheeler in the country for the last three consecutive months.
Hero Splendor is the best commuting motorcycle, which has basic looks and features. the first generation was of the Splendor was launched in 1994, Since then the bike has been gone through a various transformation. In 2004, the first upgrade was done to the bike with alloy wheels, new graphics and new instrumental cluster and it christened as Splendor+. Since its inception, the motorcycle continues to use the iconic 97.2cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder horizontally mounted engine which now churns out a peak power of 8.25bhp and a peak torque of 8.05Nm.
