Honda Motorcycles hoping to cut waiting period with new plant opening in Rajasthan

The Japan based company Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) which is one of the leading bike manufacturing company in the Indian auto market has decided to decrease the waiting period of bike by its new plant, that the company is going to set up in Rajasthan. The company is going to start its production at the Tapukara plant in Rajasthan

Vice president, Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Sales of HMSI said that the company is having around 2.5 lakh waiting customers and the waiting time of the customers is around 4 months. The company has decided to bring down the waiting period and to increase the number of customers by their new plant in Tapakara which is located in Rajasthan. He also said that the production of the bikes will be starting from the month of August of this year. The company is planning to have phase wise production and the first phase of the company will be producing around 6 lakh units. With this number of production in the first phase, the waiting time for the customers will definitely be reduced and thus the customers can thereby be served in a better way.

The news also reveals that, HMSI has invested around 500 crore for the new unit in Rajasthan. Rattan also said that, the investment can also be increased in the plant in the near future. The company is presently having one operational unit in Manesar in Rajasthan which is having a capacity of 16 lakh units. Honda Company has sold around 16.58 lakhs of units in the last year and with the new established plant, the company is also expecting to increase the unit’s number. The company is targeting to make the units sale to reach up to 21 lakh in this coming financial year.

There are many Honda motorcycles in the Indian market. Honda Activa is the most popular one and the company has recently launched Honda CBR 250R. Honda Activa also falls under long waiting period bikes in India.
