After stealing the 2016 motor show with its 110cc moto scooter - NAVi, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) is also bringing their 150cc motorcycle - CB Unicorn 150. The bike was discontinued earlier after the decision of the manufacturer to launch the CB Unicorn 160 as a replacement. However, the overall sales of the new Unicorn 160 did not match up to that of retired Unicorn 150 and hence the 150cc bike made its comeback at the biennial event.
Honda CB Unicorn 150 comes powered by a 149.1cc, four-stroke engine that comes mated to a five-speed transmission. The motor produces a maximum power of 13.4bhp at 4,500rpm with a peak torque of 12.84Nm at 5,500rpm. The bike has been equipped with 240mm disc brake at the front and 130mm drum brake at the rear for responsive braking. The suspension duties are carried out by telescopic forks at the front along with a rear mono shock absorber.
The CB Unicorn 150 has been priced at Rs. 67,028 for the Indian market. The new CB Unicorn 160, on the other hand, starts at Rs. 77,632 due to the more powerful engine and added features it offer. Honda also introduced the CB Hornet 160R in this segment few months back to give the buyers a new option in the 160cc category. The bike comes at a sticker price of Rs. 79,900 (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi) with more aggressive and muscular styling. Now, with the relaunch of the new CB Unicorn 150, Honda currently stands with three robust motorcycles in the 150cc-160cc category. Out of the three, which bike you choose is totally your call as all of them offer decent performance with appealing looks.
The CB Unicorn 150 has re-entered the dealerships unchanged, in terms of specifications and styling. The bike now appears again on the Honda official website that confirms its availability for the Indian market. Honda also introduced its Neowing concept at the Auto Expo that attracted a huge number of visitors. Besides this, the company also displayed its adventure bike - Africa Twin that is expected to be launched sometime later this year. The presence of Honda RC213V MotoGP bike also pleased a lot of visitors and attracted many bike enthusiasts to the booth. Stay tuned for more updates on Auto Expo!
