Recently obtained homologation document suggests so
Husqvarna is planning on launching the 2024 Svartpilen 250 in India soon, as hinted by recently obtained homologation documents. The Swedish manufacturer launched the 2024 Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 250 in India recently, but they left out the Svartpilen 250 which surprised many. Now we know that the Svartpilen 250 is also coming to India.
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 will come with the same scrambler-style design as its larger sibling, the Svartpilen 401. Featuring a pillion grabrail, an engine bash plate, clip-on handlebar, mid-set footpegs and small flyscreen. The Svartpilen 250 will be powered by the same 249.07cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine used on the Vitpilen 250, and the KTM 250 Duke, producing 31PS at 9,500rpm and 25Nm at 7,500rpm.
The underpinnings will be slightly different from the Svartpilen 401, with the suspension setup being the same as what we have seen on the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250, which consists of a 43mm WP Apex inverted fork at front, with no adjustability and an off-set monoshock in the rear with preload adjustability. The bike will roll on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends wrapped around in MRF Rev Z-D tyres unlike its larger sibling which gets spoke wheels wrapped in dual-purpose Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR block pattern tyres. Braking setup will also be the same as the Vitpilen 250, with 320mm front and 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS as standard. It will have a seat height of 820mm.
The Svartpilen 250 will get an identical features set as the Vitpilen 250, including a 5-inch LCD instrument console with rider aids such as traction control, ride-by-wire, a quickshifter, and Supermoto ABS, but no Bluetooth connectivity.

The Svartpilen 250 will likely be launched in the coming weeks with an expected price of Rs 2,19,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) which is the same as the Vitpilen 250. Once launched, the Svartpilen 250 will go up against the KTM 250 Duke, Bajaj Dominar 250 and Suzuki Gixxer 250.
