Indian Scout Sixty, the most affordable cruiser from Indian Motorcycles came in front of the world at 2015 Milan Motorcycle Show (EICMA). The bike looks almost identical to the existing Indian Scout, which is presently on sale in India. However, the company managed to cut the cost of the motorcycle with some changes, including the new 999cc (61 cubic inches), liquid-cooled, V-twin engine.
The new motor makes up to 75hp of maximum power and delivers torque up to 88.8Nm at just 5,800rpm. The engine of new Indian Scout Sixty comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and fed by a closed loop fuel injection system. The bike has fat telescopic forks at the front, while the rear gets dual hydraulic shock absorbers.
The 16” wheels of Indian Scout Sixty are covered with wide 130/90 section front and 150/80 section rear tyre, and both the wheels have been equipped with 298mm disc brake for braking. The front disc is grabbed by a two-piston caliper, while a single-piston type works on the rear disc. The motorcycle is India-bound and it is expected to be launched here sometime next year with a sticker price tag of around Rs. 8.5 lac.
