Jawa launches 650 Dakar's successor 660 Sportard in UK

One of the oldest Czechoslovakian motorcycle maker, Jawa Motors has launched the 660 Sportardcat £6,745 (6.63 lakh INR) as the successor of 650 Dakar. The name Sportard has been derived from Sports Super Motard, which means the bike fits in both sports and motard category.
The uniquely styled, Jawa 660 Sportard sports an aggressive appearance due to its triple-pod headlamp coming out of its semi fairing. Bolted on a durable trellis frame, the multi purpose bike gets a 660cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine mated with a 5-speed gearbox. It churns out a maximum power of 48bhp @6,500rpm along with a peak torque of 57Nm @6,000rpm.
There are two exhaust pipes coming out of the engine block and fitted to two different high mounted exhaust on each side of the bike. These twin exhausts not only contribukes to its appearance, but increases the peformance as well. The bike reaches to a top speed over 169kmph and claims to return 29.76kmpl, however average efficiency stands at 24kmpl.
Jawa 660 Sportard sports telescopic forks at tha front, while gets a mono-shock with aluminium swing-arm at the rear, which performs quite well even on the uneven terrains. It gets an extra size 19-inch front wheel covered by 110/90 tyre, while a normal size 17-inch rear wheel with a 140/80 tyre. The bike features dual 320mm disc at the front and 220mm disc brake at the rear for beter control over speed on any terrain.
