Joy e-bike has launched three new electric scooters: Wolf+ priced at Rs 1,10,185, Gen Next Nanu+ priced at Rs 1,06,991, and a fleet management scooter Del Go at Rs 1,14,500 (All prices ex-showroom including FAME 2 subsidies). The EVs are branded as 'Made-in-India' high-speed scooters, and the bookings for the same have already commenced across the company's dealerships.
In terms of styling, the Wolf+ gets an edgy design with sharp body panels keeping the younger riders in mind. The Gen Next Nanu+ is a lot less aggressive-looking, with more of a commuter style for the city. Both the scooters get a sharp, twin LED headlight setup with DRLs. The Del Go gets a more simple design with a blacked out colour scheme and a single LED headlight setup. The Wolf+ and the Gen Next Nanu+ are for private use, whereas the Del Go is for fleet use.
Propelling the electric scooters is a 1500W brushless DC motor, coupled with a portable 60V 35Ah (NMC) li-ion battery pack. NMC battery packs include nickel, manganese, and cobalt, and have a low self-heating rate of all mainstream cathode powders, offering better performance. Both the scooters produce 20Nm and get a top speed of 55kmph. The scooters feature regenerative braking that allows the battery to recharge every time the brakes are used.
The company claims a range of 100km and a duration of about 4-5 hours to completely juice up the scooter's batteries. The Scooters are charged by a 20 Amp smart charger, and the company claims to have a running cost of 20 paise per km.

The scooters are suspended on a telescopic fork up front and a rear monoshock setup. The braking duties are handled by discs on both ends. The scooters roll on tubeless tyres.
In dimensions, the Wolf+ gets a seat height of 740mm, whereas the Gen Next Nanu+ gets a seat height of 730mm. Both the scooters also get ground clearance of 160mm which is decent enough to handle bad roads. The Del Go is smaller, making it zappy and convenient for city commutes as a fleet scooter and gets the tallest seat at 820mm.
In terms of features, the Wolf+ and Gen Next Nanu+ get keyless start/stop, a digital dashboard, smart connectivity with an app using Bluetooth, Eco, Sport and Hyper riding modes along with a reverse mode, GPS and anti-theft functionality, geo fence and remote battery tracking. The Del Go features fleet health monitoring, GeoFence alerts, and a digital instrument cluster consisting of all the info about the fleet along with customisable alerts and downloadable reports.
All three scooters get a warranty of 3 years and will be available at all the Joy e-bike dealerships across 25 cities in the country. Placed in the price bracket of around Rs 1.10 lakh, the scooters rival the Okinawa iPraise+, Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube.
