The Japanese auto giant- Kawasaki has launched its new flagship superbike- Ninja H2 in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 29 lacs (Delhi). The bike will be imported as completely built units (CBU) from Japan and retailed through the Kawasaki Showrooms, currently operational in 5 locations in India.

The bike has been developed with the crossover technologies of Kawasaki Group, and it's equipped with a 998cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke in-line four cylinder supercharged engine, achieving powerful acceleration not seen in existing models. The newly designed trellis frame delivers straight-line stability and sporty cornering with its excellent balance of rigidity. The silver-mirror paint applied to the fuel tank and cowls add a gloshy appeal to its appearance. The Kawasaki Ninja H2, designed for public roads, achieves an maximum power of 197.4bhp, which can be further extended to 207.2bhp with Ram Air. It makes the bike capable to deliver intense acceleration and a top speed in a range that most riders have never experienced.

Technology is not limited to the supercharger. Advanced technological know-how shared from other group companies is found throughout the innovative engine and chassis designs. Such inter-company collaboration and the level of resultant technology poured into this model is the reason the "Kawasaki River Mark" is displayed prominently on the upper cowl. The Kawasaki River Mark is a long-time symbol of the KHI Group dating back to the 1870s. As a policy, its use on products is rare and limited to models with historical significance. But for the Ninja H2 permission to use this symbol was granted.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Yoshitaka Tamura, Managing Director, India Kawasaki Motors said, "We, Kawasaki have pursued new heights in technology, originality and innovation. This Ninja H2 represents our intense spirit put not only for this model, but also for all existing models. I'm sure that this Ninja H2 would further enhance brand image of entire Kawasaki".
