Kawasaki’s quarter-litre, four-cylinder monster, the ZX-25R finally has a launch date: July 10, 2020. The bike was originally due to be introduced in the Indonesian market on April 4, 2020, however, it was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. What makes the Kawasaki ZX-25R so special is its four-cylinder 250cc engine, premium mechanicals and rider aids. The bike may retail at around the same price as the CBR650R, you can read about it here.
The ZX-25R’s party piece is its 250cc liquid-cooled inline-four motor. While Kawasaki hasn’t revealed the engine’s power output, we have an idea of the bike’s performance thanks to exhaust manufacturer Akrapovic. The ZX-25R made 42.01PS at 15,350rpm and 20.8Nm of torque at 12,700rpm on the dynamometer. But these power figures are measured at the wheel and not the crank so we could expect the bike to make more power (around 46PS) than the KTM 390 Duke.

The ZX-25R also comes with a couple of electric rider aids including Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), multiple power modes and a quickshifter. It gets top-notch suspension components while braking is handled by twin discs up front and a single disc at the rear. Its 17-inch wheels come wrapped in Dunlop Sportmax tyres.
