The new variant is also likely to get new paint schemes as well
Things are gearing up for an exciting India Bike Week 2023 as Kawasaki has teased the launch of a motorcycle during the festival. Looking at the teaser, we think it’ll be a variant of the Kawasaki W175.
The variant is expected to get cosmetic changes only. It should come with alloy wheels, which means the W175 will be available with tubeless tyres after this launch. This will also provide more options for buyers considering the W175 with the spoked wheels providing the classic retro touch to the bike while the alloy wheels provide a more modern feel.
Also, we expect the upcoming variant to get new colour schemes as well. Other than these, the rest of the bike is expected to remain unchanged. The Kawasaki W175 is powered by a 177cc, single-cylinder engine producing 13PS and 13.3Nm. The suspension setup consists of a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers while braking duties are taken care of by a 270mm disc up front and a drum at the rear.
The Kawasaki W175’s prices currently top out at Rs 1,49,000 for the Candy Persimmon Red colour scheme and we expect the upcoming variant to fetch a Rs 15,000 premium over that. As such, it will likely be priced around the Rs 1.64 Lakh (all prices ex-showroom) mark. Its direct rival will be the Yamaha FZ-X.
