Styling, features, engine, price, here’s a low-down on everything
Keeway launched the V302C in India recently. The cruiser not only has the potential to beat the Honda Rebel 300, but it also carries a rather eyebrow-raising price tag. So here’s everything you need to know about the second cruiser from the Chinese brand:
It Looks Muscular And Retro!
The V302C, which is essentially a rebranded Benda BD300, gets the same stunning body design. You get a bulky peanut-shaped fuel tank, a mid-rise, wide handlebar and chopped fenders with meaty tyres, all making it look pretty formidable. Its round headlight looks classy and retro, but the bike also has modern bits like LED lighting all around.
It’s Not All Retro Underneath
Further, to enhance its modern appeal, Keeway has given the V302C a circular digital instrument cluster that features a speedometer, tachometer, odometer and a gear position indicator. Sadly, smartphone connectivity has been missed out. We’d have liked it if Keeway had at least given a turn-by-turn navigation as standard for the price.
The Engine Sounds Potent….On Paper
Powering the V302C is a 298cc V-twin, liquid-cooled mill that makes a healthy 29.9PS and 26.5Nm. It gets a belt drive system which is paired to a six-speed transmission. For context, the BD300 makes 30.5PS and 25.3Nm. The China-spec BD300 even gets a traction control system.

It Has Premium Bits Under The Muscular Body
Keeway’s latest cruiser boasts of premium underpinnings like an inverted fork along with dual shock absorbers. For braking, it gets a 300mm disc at the front along with a 240mm one at the rear with radially-mounted callipers. For added safety, dual-channel ABS is standard on the cruiser.
You have a 16-inch and a 120-section tyre at the front and a 15-inch wheel wrapped with 150-section rubber at the rear. Boosting its practicality is a chunky 15-litre fuel tank, 690mm seat height and a low 167kg kerb weight.
All Of This Comes At A Price…
While the Keeway V302C sounds impressive on paper, its Rs 3,89,000 price tag sounds hard to justify, especially given that the Glossy Black and Glossy Red colours will cost you even more, at Rs 3,99,000 and Rs 4,09,000, respectively (all prices ex-showroom India).
The difference between them is just the colour on the tank, which doesn’t justify the extra premium. The Keeway Benda V302C does not have any direct rivals but can be considered to go up against the likes of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Yezdi Roadster. Its price tag though makes it significantly more expensive than either of them.
