The baby ADV is expected to launch by late November 2020

After all the months of waiting and speculation, the KTM 250 Adventure is set to launch soon. Earlier this month, we reported that select dealerships across Mumbai and Pune had started accepting bookings for the upcoming adventure bike. Now, our sources have confirmed that the bike has already started reaching the dealerships.

The 250 Adventure will be powered by the same 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor producing 30PS and 24Nm, seen on the 250 Duke. Just like with the 390 Adventure, we expect the ADV’s engine to be in the same state of tune as the naked sibling. To keep the price in check, KTM will likely skip the quickshifter as well as Bluetooth connectivity. That said, the 250 Adventure was spotted with a colour TFT display in a layout similar to that of the 390 Adventure. Another feature distinguishing the two bikes is the halogen headlamp on the 250 Adventure, unlike the LED unit seen on the 390s.

Several dealerships have already started accepting bookings for the baby ADV for Rs 1,000 to Rs 10,000. Given KTM’s pricing strategy so far, we expect the 250 Adventure to be priced at Rs 2.40 lakh to Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom), which will make it a tempting proposition, sitting bang in between the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the BMW G 310 GS.
