KTM India took over to its Instagram to announce a huge discount offer on the 250 Duke. The 250cc streetfighter has received a price cut of Rs 20,000 over its ex-showroom price of Rs 2,45,000, making it priced at Rs 2,25,000 (ex-showroom). However, this offer only applies for a limited period, until the end of December 2024 or until stocks last.

The KTM 250 Duke is available in three colours: Dark Galvano, Electric Orange, and Atlantic Blue. All colours carry the same price tag. The bike is equipped with a 250cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 31PS at 9,250rpm and 25Nm at 7,250rpm. It is paired to a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter. It also gets 2 ride modes: Street and Track.

The 250 Duke was recently updated with the 5-inch TFT instrument console from its bigger sibling, the KTM 390 Duke. The bike also received an updated switchgear and  LED DRLs (daytime running lights) from the 390 Duke. The new console and switchgear now bring in features including turn-by-turn navigation, display modes, and a lap timer. The bike also gets features like call/SMS alerts, headset pairing, ride-by-wire throttle, and a type-C charging port.

KTM 250 Duke: Underpinnings

The KTM 250 Duke sits on a steel trellis frame and has a die-cast aluminium subframe. The streetfighter gets a 43mm WP APEX big piston inverted fork and a preload-adjustable WP APEX monoshock. It is equipped with a 320mm front disc and 240mm rear disc brake, with dual-channel ABS. It also comes with a Supermoto ABS mode, which disables the rear ABS, allowing riders to slide the bike during off-road adventures.

The Duke 250 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends, which are wrapped with 110-section front and 150-section rear tubeless tyres. The bike has a 15-litre fuel tank, a generous 176mm ground clearance, and a light kerb weight of 162.8kg. The bike offers 2 seat height options – an 800mm or an 820mm seat height.

KTM 250 Duke: Rivals

The KTM 250 Duke directly competes with the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250. More affordable alternatives in the 250cc naked bike segment include the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the Bajaj Pulsar N250. It will also rival the upcoming Hero Xtreme 250R.
