It will come with an adjustable front fork and some more goodies!
- The standard KTM 390 Adventure sold in India does not get adjustable front fork like the one sold abroad.
- In a bid to make the bike more versatile for expert riders, KTM is likely to bring in a more premium variant with adjustable front fork.
- It could be loaded with KTM PowerParts like headlight protector, fork sliders, handlebar pads and the likes.
KTM is likely to introduce a more premium variant of the 390 Adventure in about 6-8 months. Expect this variant to cost around Rs 15,000 - Rs 20,000 more than the one sold at present, which retails at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The biggest talking point about this upcoming variant will be the adjustable WP Apex front and rear suspension.

The model sold abroad offers compression and rebound adjustability in the front fork but there is no adjustment in the India-spec model. Interestingly, the front fork in both models has the same spec, just that the mechanism for the cartridge adjustment is absent. The same applies to the rear too. In the India-spec model, the rear WP monoshock is adjustable only for preload whereas the one sold abroad offers both preload and rebound adjustability.
So, in a bid to offer better versatility to expert riders who would want to fine-tune their suspension settings, KTM will be introducing a more premium variant with an adjustable WP inverted front and rear suspension.
Since it will be a premium variant, KTM is also likely to throw in additional PowerParts-branded accessories. This could include parts such as headlight guard, fork sliders, handlebar pads, and a GPS mount. You can read more about these accessories here.
KTM is also working on made-in-India luggage systems for the 390 Adventure, which are likely to be included in the premium variant.
