KTM RC200 to be launched soon? Spy picture inside

The Austrian motorcycle maker- KTM is ready to bring its faired series- RC in India. In the latest spy shots, the KTM RC 200 has been spotted testing without camouflage. The bike seems production ready and might get launched in near future.

Key Features of the KTM RC 200 are:

* Based on the Duke 200's platform, RC 200 looks inspired by the RC 8R.

* The 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine, mated with a six-speed gearbox. Using the electronic fuel injection (EFI) system, it delivers 25bhp of extreme power output.

* Light weight, steel trellis frame.

* Masculine, 9.5-litre fuel tank for massive appearance.

* The triple clamps with clip-on handlebars have been provided for a pure supersport racing feeling.

* Split seat with integrated pillion seat into bodywork lines to provide a perfect racing bike tail.

* Twin-pod projector headlamps for supersport look and better illumination.

* Large wind-shield for wind protection and optimized aerodynamics.

* Fully digital instrument console.

* Thin-integrated tail lamps fitting perfectly into the pure racing look.

* Inverted 43mm front forks at the front for better strength and stability.

* Mono-shock with light alloy swing-arm at the rear.

* 300m front and 230mm rear disc brakes are developed in coopration with Brembo, which allows the rider to be always in control of the RC.

* Three-chamber underbelly exhaust aids the centralisation of mass.

* Light-weight, 17”, split-spoke alloys with wide tubeless tyres for better grip and traction.

KTM RC 200 is expected to be launched around the festive season this year with a price tag of around Rs. 1.7-1.9 lakh. Closest competitor of the bike in India will be Honda CBR250R, while the upcoming rivals will be Hero HX250R and Yamaha R25.
