Quick Highlights

  • Bollywood star, Kunal Kemmu rides to Umling La with his friends

  • Umling La is the world’s highest mountain pass

  • He chose the KTM 390 Adventure for this adventure

The Bollywood star, Kunal Kemmu enjoys riding bikes and he has actively shown it over his Instagram account. We have usually seen him riding bigger and higher-capacity bikes, however, this time, we saw him riding the KTM 390 Adventure to the world’s highest mountain pass, Umling La along with his friends.

Umling La stands at an elevation of 19,024 feet (5,799 m) in the mighty Himalayas and is the world’s highest motorable pass. Riders have this location on their bucket list to seek adventure by climbing high altitudes, experiencing unpredictable weather and soaking in breathtaking landscapes. While it demands all this adventure, it rewards a ride through some of the most remote and stunning scenery on the planet. Kunal Kemmu ticks this off his bucket list as he has posted many pictures and videos showing what an epic time he has had riding along with his friends in the mountains.

Such demanding rides need a capable machine. While the KTM 390 Adventure isn’t a full-blown “ADV bike”, it is a do-it-all kind of bike. The KTM 390 Adventure is available in 3 variants – the X variant which is the cheapest, at  Rs 2,82,951 followed by the  Standard variant at Rs 3,41,032. The top SW variant is priced at Rs 3,63,297 (all prices are ex-showroom Delhi).

All the variants vary in configuration, however, they come with a 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 43.5PS at 9000rpm and 37Nm torque at 7000rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a bidirectional for quick upshifts and downshifts.

We have been waiting for the KTM 390 Adventure to get an upgrade for a long time now as we have spotted the 2024 model being tested. We expect KTM to showcase the bike in November at EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy It will likely launch in India by the end of 2024 or early 2025.
