The scooter’s price ranges from Rs 65,000 to Rs 1 lakh (on-road Delhi)

Li-Ions Elektrik Solutions, a Gurugram-based electric scooter startup, has launched its first scooter, the Spock in India. From the looks of it, the scooter is ideal for delivery services as it features a large top box with thermal insulation and an apron-mounted carrier too. 

Moreover, its claimed range of 50-130km is fit for the purpose as well. The range is achieved using two 20Ah lithium ion battery packs that are removable for easy charging. It takes four hours to charge from zero to 100 per cent. A healthy 200mm ground clearance, coupled with a telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers at the rear should also ensure fuss-free commuting on bad roads. For optimum safety, the scooter also gets a disc brake up front and a drum at the rear. Spock’s chief rivals include the Okinawa i-Praise and the Ather 340.

New Delhi l Gurugram, 28th June, 2019: Li-ions Elektrik Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a new-age manufacturer with modern techniques in electric vehicles announces the launch of high speed electric 2-wheeler, SPOCK. The electric 2-wheeler has been designed with a mission to provide efficient and environmental friendly transport solutions for first-and-last-mile logistics. The one of its kind, high-speed electric 2-Wheeler is manufactured after an extensive research in the electric vehicles space that are equipped to deliver green mobility solutions.

SPOCK is a perky two-wheeler, which is fully dependent on its power-source from the latest generation Lithium Ion batteries. The new-age 2-wheeler with GPS fitment and USB charging for mobile devices is especially designed to suit the Indian driving conditions. Powered by 2.9 kWh lithium-ion swappable battery and BLDC Hub motor with peak power of 2.1 kW and continuous power of 1.2 kW with 230 Nm of maximum torque to move the vehicle at 45kmph top speed. This electric 2-wheeler promises a range of 50-130 km per charge, thanks to its 72V 40AH Lithium battery. In economy mode, Spock will cover 130 km of range on a single charge, while on power mode, it will offer 100 km of range on a single charge.

Spock offers a comfortable seating and driving position with better ergonomics with 12-inch wheels with tubeless tyres. The electric 2-wheeler will be able to charge fully within three hours, for a total of 1200 charging cycles of the battery. Launched with the price range of Rs. 65,000 to Rs. 99,999 (on-road). The electric 2-wheeler comes with features like factory fitted rear cargo box with thermal insulation, hydraulic suspensions, motorcycle-like handlebars and integrated turn indicators in the tail lamp. The detachable batteries will provide both the options to the user, that of swapping the batteries or charging them at a desktop station. 

The delivery for the electric 2-wheelers will start later this year in July’2019. The electric two-wheeler market in India is growing at a fast pace—SPOCK is here to give consumers an option that is cost effective, environmentally friendly and stylish.
