The Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in New Delhi has been a major event for biking enthusiasts, especially those excited about adventure bikes. This year’s edition showcased some of the most highly anticipated models, from new launches to concepts, setting the stage for adventure motorcycling’s future in India.
Hero XPulse 210
Hero MotoCorp launched the new Hero XPulse 210, priced at Rs 1,75,800 (ex-showroom). Positioned above the XPulse 200 4V, the XPulse 210 gets the 210cc engine from the Karizma XMR 210, producing 24.6PS and 20.7Nm. It is available in two variants: Rally and Dakar Rally. This new model features a TFT display with smartphone connectivity. It competes directly with the Kawasaki KLX230 and the upcoming Yamaha Lander 250.
Yamaha Lander 250
Speaking of which, Yamaha showcased its Lander 250 at the expo. A rugged dual-sport bike, it is powered by a 249cc engine producing 20.5PS and 20.1Nm. With long suspension travel, and a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel setup, it is very off-road capable. Expect it to be priced around the Rs 1.70 lakh to Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom) mark, the Lander will rival the new Hero XPulse 210 and the Kawasaki KLX230.
Yamaha Tenere 700
Another major highlight was the Yamaha Tenere 700, showcased in the World Raid Edition. The Tenere is powered by a 689cc parallel-twin engine that makes 71PS and 66Nm. It weighs 203kg, has fully adjustable suspension, an impressive 240mm of ground clearance, a 6.3-inch TFT console with smartphone connectivity, and multiple riding modes, making it a strong competitor in the mid-capacity adventure bike segment. It competes with bikes like the Honda XL750 Transalp, the Triumph Tiger 850 Sport, and the Suzuki V-Storm 800DE.
BMW R 1300 GSA
BMW launched the R 1300 GSA at the expo and it is priced at Rs 22,95,000 (ex-showroom). It is powered by the same 1300cc boxer-twin engine as the ‘regular’ R 1300 GS and makes 145PS and 149Nm. The GS Adventure comes with BMW’s telelever front and paralever rear suspension, one of the best setups in its category. The bike comes with a full suite of modern features including four riding modes, a large 10.25-inch TFT display, and even heated grips.
BMW F 450 GS Concept
A standout at the expo was the BMW F 450 GS Concept, which was first seen at EICMA 2024. The bike offers a design inspired by the larger R 1300 GS. It is powered by a new 450cc, twin-cylinder engine producing 48PS. The claimed 175kg kerb weight will make it one of the lightest bikes in its segment. The 450 GS features rider aids like cornering ABS, traction control, and multiple ride modes. It gets long-travel suspension on both ends, with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup. BMW confirmed that the production model will be launched by the end of 2025.
BMW F 900 GS & GSA
In addition, the BMW F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure were also showcased at the BMW pavilion. Both bikes are powered by an 895cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine, producing 105PS and 93Nm. The F 900 GS is priced at Rs 13,75,000, while the F 900 GS Adventure is priced at Rs 14,75,000 (ex-showroom).
