The best selling 125cc scooters compared against each other

The Suzuki Access 125 and TVS Jupiter 125 are both the most popular choices in the 125cc scooter segment, offering a good balance of looks, performance, features, and value. And, Suzuki recently launched the new Access 125 at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. Here’s how both the scooters fare against each other:

Price

In terms of pricing, the Suzuki Access 125 is more affordable, with its standard model priced at Rs 81,700, while the TVS Jupiter 125 starts at Rs 86,405 for the drum variant. The top-end variants of both scooters are priced similarly, with the Access 125 Ride Connect Edition at Rs 93,300 and the Jupiter 125 SmartXonnect variant at Rs 96,855 (all prices ex-showroom).

Engine

In terms of engine and performance, both scooters are powered by similar 125cc engines. The Access 125 produces 8.4PS and 10.2Nm, while the Jupiter 125 on the other hand generates slightly less power at 8.2PS but a higher torque output of 10.5Nm. We are yet to know the real world or official claimed mileage figures of the new Access, but the older Access offered better city mileage while the Jupiter had better highway figures during our real world tests.

Features

When it comes to features, both the scooters get an LED headlight, a USB charging port, and Bluetooth smartphone connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS and social media alerts, and weather updates/rain alerts on the top-end variants.

Underpinnings

Suspension wise, both scooters get a telescopic fork and a single shock absorber. Braking wise, again, both get drum brakes at both ends on the base models, but a front disc, rear drum brake setup on the other variants. The Jupiter gets 12-inch wheels front and back, while the Access has a 12-inch front and a 10-inch rear wheel setup. The Jupiter has a bigger 33-litre underseat storage capacity as the fuel tank is under the floorboard.

BikeDekho Says

Ultimately, the choice between the Suzuki Access 125 and the TVS Jupiter 125 comes down to personal preferences. Both scooters offer great value and are well-suited for daily commuting. If you are looking for something faster, lightweight and better handling, get the Access. If you need a bigger storage space and a more family oriented design, you can go for the Jupiter.
