Yamaha Movistar rider Valentino Rossi and teammate as well as 2015 MotoGP winner Jorge Lorenzo unveiled their YZR-M1 race bikes for the 2016 season on Monday afternoon. Recently, Rossi had posted a picture on social media with this new bike wrapped up after a photo shoot, which left his fans all around the world curious. The picture posted by the six-time world champion got millions of views, which clearly shows how eagerly the fans were awaiting a dekko of this ultimate machine on two wheels. The new Yamaha YZR-M1 was showcased today at the Movistar head office in Barcelona, Spain. With Lorenzo having beaten his more accomplished rival and teammate to the title, the last-minute controversies that led to Rossi losing his leader position still seem to be fresh in the minds of MotoGP followers.
During the event, a quick look of the 2015 Yamaha season was given to the world media, which clearly showed the champs hitting the tracks including some high and low moments of the season. “The new bikes have got more power compared to previous season with some more updates in the electronics, also Michelin will equip tyres in the coming time to add more grip on the circuit,” said Lorenzo.
