Will be powered by TVS’ new 300cc engine
The Hosur based manufacturer revealed its first and upcoming adventure bike, the Apache RTX 300 at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. It is powered by the all new RT-XD4 engine, which was first shown at MotoSoul 2024.
Design
The TVS Apache RTX 300 has a road-focused, touring adventure bike design, with a split LED headlight setup, a tall windscreen, and a half-fairing. The headlight design and overall styling make the bike look bgger than it actually is.
Engine
The RTX 300 is powered by a 299cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, called the RT-XD4, which produces 35PS and 28.5Nm. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assit clutch. This new motor promises to have better low end torque and a linear power delivery, better suiting the bike's adventure character.
Underpinnings
The Apache RTX is built on a trellis frame similar to the RR310 and the RTR310. It has long travel suspension at both ends, with an inverted fork and a pre-load adjustable monoshock. It has a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear alloy wheel. It gets disc brakes at both ends and comes with dual-channel ABS as standard.
Features
The RTX has a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, call/SMS alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation. Other features might include riding modes, switchable rear wheel ABS, traction control, cruise control, and cornering ABS.
Pricing & Launch
The bike is expected to be launched sometime this year, mostly by the end of 2025, with an estimated price of Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with other adventure bikes such as the BMW G 310 GS, Yezdi Adventure, KTM 250 Adventure, Suzuki V-Storm SX, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and the upcoming Hero XPulse 421.
