Lohia OMA Star Electric Scooter Launched At Rs 40,850

Lohia Auto's new e-bike, the OMA Star, is priced at Rs 40,850 in Delhi and is available in four attractive colour options.

Lohia Auto, which has been offering various e-bikes for the past eight years in the Indian market, has launched its new e-bike, the OMA Star. The scooter is priced at Rs 40,850 in Delhi and is available in four attractive colours -- White, Red, Black & Grey. The Lohia OMA Star comes after the success of two earlier e-bikes, ‘FAME’ and ‘Genius’ from Lohia Auto. With the presence of a dealer network all over the country, the company claims to provide better sales, service and spares to its customers. 

Commenting on the new launch, Ayush Lohia, CEO, Lohia Auto Industries, said, “We understand the needs of our customers and believe in providing with smart mobility solutions. We believe ‘Omastar’ adds significant value in form and function to the electric bike segment and also address the environmental concerns of the automobile industry and the country”. 

The Lohia OMA Star has a 250-watt motor and 20AH battery. It can reach a top speed of 25kmph carrying two persons to a maximum range of 60km, which seems decent enough for a daily city commute. It takes 6 to 8 hrs to fully charge the maintenance free lead acid battery. The company claims that the curves have been optimised to give it a visually appealing look while keeping the size compact. Digital Speedometer, alloy wheels, large storage cabin, high ground clearance and telescopic suspension are some of its features which make its ride practical as well as comfortable.
