Mahindra Centuro Disc Brake version spotted testing in India; launch soon

First showcased at the Indian Auto Expo 2014, the disc brake version of the Mahindra Centuro has been spotted testing in India. This indicates that the company might launch the variant soon in the market. The new variant will be called Centuro O1-D and will be priced Rs. 2,000-3,000 higher than the standard variant. The bike already comes in two variant options- O1 with digital dash board and N1 with analog dash board.
The company will introduce Centuro O1-D with a roto-petal type disc brake of approx 220-240mm at the front wheel. The bike comes with numbers of safety, security and convinience features, and the front disc brake will add 1 more to it. It already gets foldable remote flip key with key lights, anti-theft alarm, find me lamps, digital dash board, guide lamps and LED tail lamp.
Centuro sports and advanced 106.7cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, MCi-5 engine mated with a 4-speed gearbox. It churns out 8.4bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 8.5Nm at 5,500rpm. The company claims that the MCi-5 (Micro Chip Ignited- 5 Curve) technology smartly balances between power and fuel economy, and hlps the engine to returns upto 85.4kmpl of mileage.
The bike has already proved its importance in the market with continuous increament in sales of the company. Since its launch, it has become one of the most important member in the commuter segment of the Indian two wheeler market. Now, we have to see that what outputs will come from the upgraded version of the bike.
