Mahindra Mojo 300 to be launched in June 2014?

The newest entrant in the Indian two-wheeler market- Mahindra's much anticipated entry level performance bike is now going to be launched in June, 2014. The prototype first showcased at the 2012 Auto Expo, and after a wait of two years, company unvieled the production model of the bike at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo with some major updates.
The New Mahinda Mojo has been developed locally in the company's Indian R&D centre to make the roadster affordable than the concept showcased in 2012. One of the major updates in the bike is its new 295cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, developed by using the experience of their MotoGP team. The engine will come mated with a six speed gearbox and expected to deliver a maximum power of around 30bhp.
There were cosmetic updates also in the production version of Mojo 300, it sports a larger fuel tank, redesigned seat and a little tweaked headlamps. With all these updates, the new model was looking more masculine and aggressive than the concept model. Other design elements of the bike remains unchanged including its golden ribs and the dual exhaust pipes.
Mahindra Mojo 300 will get all the latest features including inverted front forks, rear horizontally mounted mono-shock, front and rear disk brakes, digital instrument console and many more. The bike is expected to be launched with a price tag of around Rs. 2 lakh and it will compete with the Honda CBR250R, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and KTM Duke 390.
