Mahindra two-wheelers, one of the manufacturers from India, is planning to bring a 150cc motorcycle. The brand new bike will be positioned somewhere between Mahindra Centuro and the recently launched Mojo. After getting a decent response for its Mojo, Mahindra is now planning to enter the middleweight segment with its new 150cc motorcycle. The bike is already under development and will take on the likes of Honda Unicorn 160R and the famous Bajaj Pulsar 150. The company is planning to enter the market with this machine by the later half of this year and speculations are that Diwali might be the time to see this new 150cc two-wheeler hitting the streets.

150cc segment in the country is considered to have the best sellers as the majority in India prefers city commuters and these days many machines are being offered with better fuel efficiency. So, it may turn into a good deal for Mahindra if this new two-wheeler proves to be an impressive machine.

Talking about style, the new 150cc bike will most probably have the same styling inherited from its siblings, Centuro and Mojo. It will not be a surprise to see yellow twin trellis frame framework fitted on this motorcycle. As reported by our friends at ZigWheels, the new machine will have attractive features and its name might end with ‘O’, just like Mahindra’s other products such as Mojo, Centuro, Gusto, Pantero. Talking about the engine, the new entry by Mahindra could be powered with a power unit offering13.80 bhp and a peak torque of 12Nm. We are hoping to see a pre-production prototype at the upcoming auto expo to have a better idea of this new middleweight entry.

With the recent launches by Bajaj like Avenger 150 cruiser and AS150 adventure sports, Indian consumers are accepting every kind of machine falling in affordable segment. But the smaller segment bikes that fall under 100-110cc have been quite popular due to its fuel-efficiency and low maintenance costs.
