Manipal University Jaipur Auto Show 2015

Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) organised ‘Auto Show 2015’ that took place from October 29 to October 31. This was their first such event after the establishment of the University in 2011. It was a brainchild of “Vortex” (a car team of MUJ, determined to take part in Formula Student India) and was sponsored by Maruti Suzuki. The event showcased a wide range of automobiles from some of the biggest motorcycle giants around the world like Triumph, Benelli, Royal Enfield and Hyosung. Some of the local two-wheeler companies, including TVS and Honda, also displayed their offerings along with well-known four-wheeler manufacturers like Skoda, Maruti, Toyota, Fiat, Renault, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Honda.

While these companies were making the event grand, the showstoppers were two vintage cars, one of them was Ford GT Torino housing a 4.9-litre engine that churns out a massive power of 450 bhp. The event was inaugurated by Dr. I.K. Bhatt, Director, MNIT in the presence of University President, Dr. Sandeep Sancheti. Other than showcasing of vehicles, Auto Show 2015 witnessed test rides from Triumph India, bike rides from Benelli, ATV rides, band performances from ‘Rudraksh’ and MUJ’s in-house band, fashion show, LAN gaming and much more.
