Another international offering that we’d love to see on our roads
Voge Motorcycles, subsidiary of Chinese giant Loncin, has launched the 300DS in Europe at 4,295 Euros (Rs 3.82 lakh). It serves as a younger sibling to the 500DS, which was also launched in Europe two weeks ago. Without further ado, let’s see what all the baby Voge packs.
To start off, the 300DS does full justice to its ADV persona. The front-end is sleek, the windscreen long, and the stature tall. Its LED headlight gives it an angry face while the rear-end balances that by being relatively sober in comparison. Further, there’s a luggage rack, a bash plate, and extensive crash protection, if you plan to take it off-road.
Voge has thrown in a digital LCD instrumentation, a USB port, a manually adjustable windscreen, and full-LED illumination, most of which the KTM 250 Adventure misses out on.

Powering the 300DS is a 292.4cc, single-cylinder motor putting out 26PS and 25Nm. This is 4PS less than the BS6 250 Adventure. That said, the 300DS tips the scale at 155kg, about 22kg less than the KTM.
For suspension duties, the 300DS employs a 35mm USD fork and a monoshock, while a 300mm (front) and a 220mm (rear) disc brake aid you during braking. Dual-channel ABS is offered as standard too.
As interesting as all this is, the 300DS might never make it to our shores, thanks to inflation and custom duties in India. But if it were to, would you buy the Voge 300DS? We would, if it was somehow priced under Rs 3 lakh.
