Moto Guzzi has showcased their two recently arrived classic cruisers at the 2016 Auto Expo. The two machines - V9 Roamer and Bobber are built on the same platform with slight difference in styling and cosmetics. The bikes were first unveiled at the 73rd EICMA that was held in Milan last year.
Powering both these V9 models is an 853cc, four-stroke, 90-degree longitudinal V-twin engine that comes mated to a six-speed transmission. This motor develops a maximum power of 54.23bhp at 6,250rpm with a peak torque of 62Nm at 3,000rpm. The suspension setup of these bikes comprises of 40mm telescopic forks up front with fully adjustable twin shock absorbers at the rear while the braking is done by 320mm Brembo disc brake with four-piston calliper at the front with 260mm disc brake with twin-piston calliper at the rear. Coming to the tyres, the V9 Roamer has been equipped with 100/90-19 front and 150/80-16 rear tyres that come mounted over robust multi-spoke wheels while the V9 Bobber comes fitted with 130/90-16 front and 150/80-16 rear tyres.
Both the models have been assisted with 15-litre fuel tanks and have a total kerb weight of 200kgs. Though there are a few similarities, the Bobber comes with a darker theme and differs from the Roamer in terms of seat, styling and rear end. As Moto Guzzi has attended the 2014 Auto Expo as well, it would be interesting to see when it will officially make its entry to Indian shores. Stay tuned for more updates of the ongoing motor show!
