Showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, the Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber and Roamer are going to be launched in India soon with price tags of Rs. 13.3 lakh and Rs. 13.4 lakh, respectively.
Piaggio has commenced bookings for the upcoming Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber and Roamer motorcycles in India, with deliveries scheduled to start soon after the launch. The Roamer has been priced at Rs. 13.3 lakh, while the Bobber costs a little more with a price tag of Rs. 13.4 lakh (both ex-showroom, Pune). As of now, the company is bringing both the models in the country via the CBU route and their bookings can be registered at the Piaggio's Motoplex dealership.
Both the Moto Guzzi V9 models were unveiled last year at the EICMA and both are advanced, light-weight cruisers which are made easy to handle. Propelling the motorcycles is a new 853cc, V-Twin transverse-mounted engine, a Moto Guzzi signature. Fed by a Marelli electronic fuel injection system, the motor makes 54.25bhp at 6,250rpm and delivers a torque figure of 61Nm at just 3,000rpm. It comes mated to a slick six-speed transmission and uses a shaft-type final drive.
The V9 Bobber and the V9 Roamer are based on one platform, however, their styling and some features make them a little different. The V9 Roamer has a more classic design that incorporates all-metal fabrication, a brat seat, lots of chrome and much more. On the other hand, the Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber gets a dark custom paint scheme along with chopped fenders, wider tyres, straight handlebars and a more aggressive riding position.
