Mr. Ravindra Pisharody becomes the Vice President of SIAM

Mr. Ravindra Pisharody has been elected as the Vice-President of Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). Mr. Pisharody who is Executive Director of Commercial Vehicles, Tata Motors Ltd. was elected for the post unanimously by the SIAM executive committee. SIAM is the apex industry body that represents 46 leading vehicle and vehicle engine manufacturers in India.

Mr Pisharody is a senior management professional, with over 30 years of executive experience and has held national/ regional/ global leadership roles in Sales, Marketing, Business Management and Strategy Development. Apart from being the Executive Director (Commercial Vehicles), he is also onboard of various Tata Group Companies such as Tata Marcopolo Motors Ltd., Tata Cummins Ltd., Tata International Ltd., Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicles Ltd., South Korea and Tata Motors South Africa.

Mr Pisharody has a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electronics Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta

Talking about his new responsibility at SIAM, Mr. Ravindra Pisharody said, “I look forward to my new role as the Vice-President. I understand that the role would be challenging and I would like to pitch in with my contributions and help strengthen the team further so that we can move towards our common goals.” SIAM facilitates dialogue between the Indian automobile industry, the government, national and international organizations. SIAM also works closely with concerned stakeholders and helps evolve rules, regulations and policies related to the automobile industry.
