MV Agusta is making its official entry into the Indian market at an event in Pune on May 11. The company has introduced three motorcycles in the country, including the Brutale 1090, the F3 800 and the F4.

Renowned Italian bike maker MV Agusta is going to officially mark its entry in the Indian market on May 11. The event will take place in Pune in the presence of Ajinkya Firodia, MD, MV Agusta India Pvt. Ltd. and Judah Sangaran, far-east country manager, MV Agusta Moto SpA.

MV has entered into a partnership with Kinetic Engineering Ltd, which is the flagship firm of Firodia Group of companies. The joint venture has been labelled "Motoroyale" and Kinetic will set up a chain of showrooms exclusively for MV Agusta motorcycles with the name of the venture. The first Motoroyale store is opening shortly in Pune, which will be followed by dealerships across other major metro cities. Besides the sales, the Indian firm will be responsible for providing spares, service and aftersales support for the MV Agusta customers in the country.

Till now, MV has launched two motorcycles in India – the Brutale 1090 and the F4 (Standard, RR and RC), and it is soon going to launch the F3 800 (Standard and RC). The Brutale 1090 is a litre-class naked superbike, priced at Rs. 19.3 lakh, while the F4 is a full-faired track machine with a price tag of Rs. 25.99 lakh (both ex-showroom, Pune).  The company has also revealed the price of the upcoming MV Agusta F3 800, which is a mid-weight racing machine and will get a price tag of Rs. 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune).

The company has already started deliveries to the first few customers, including Shirish Kulkarni – a superbike enthusiast and the chairman of DSK Benelli India, who has bought an F4 RR. All the models launched under the JV will be imported as CBUs (completely built units) for now. However, the company is also considering a local assembly unit in the near future.
