Naked Machines to be Launched in India by 2016

This year, we saw a lot of bikes being launched by the motorcycling companies under all categories, naked bikes, cruisers, scooters, sports etc. 2016 will be no less as there is a long pipeline of motorcycles which might hit the Indian market with lots of aggression. Here, we are listing down some naked bikes which are expected to hit Indian shores in 2016:

TVS Apache 200



Amid wide speculations and rumours, it has been confirmed that TVS will be launching its most awaited bike, Apache 200, in 2016. The new bike will be equipped with a newly designed 200cc single cylinder engine. The upcoming offering might get Pirelli tyres in its top variant along with an ABS unit. TVS Apache 200 will get a flat tank lid and sports LEDs at the tail lamp section.

Pulsar 150NS



The upcoming naked 150cc bike is another machine which is coming under Bajaj’s well-known brand Pulsar. The motorcycle will share styling with its elder sibling Pulsar 200NS. The bike will be powered through a powerful 149.5cc single cylinder air-cooled motor that churns out 16.8bhp at 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 13Nm at 7500 rpm and it is mated to a 5-speed transmission. It is expected that Pulsar 150NS will generate a fuel economy of 45-50 kmpl. The Pulsar 150NS is expected to be available for the customers early next year. The motorcycle will lock horns with current 150cc segment leaders Yamaha FZ and the Suzuki Gixxer.

Pulsar 400CS



Bajaj Pulsar 400CS is another naked machine which will also come under Pulsar Brand name with a higher engine capacity and aggressive looks. The bike was first unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. The bike will be propelled through the same 375cc liquid-cooled engine which is used in Bajaj Pulsar RS400. It is expected that the 375cc motor generates 42bhp of maximum power and 33Nm of peak torque and it will be paired to 6-speed gearbox. Bajaj has incorporated triple spark technology in Pulsar 400CS to get efficient combustion of fuel. Bajaj Pulsar 400CS will hit the Indian market soon.

Hyosung GD250N



Going by sales numbers, the current year has not gone well for the Korean manufacturer in the country. So the company has decided to tap the Indian naked bikes market with its GD250N. To stand out from the league, the manufacturer has designed it very differently and gave it sharp looks. The machine will be equipped with a 249cc single cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel injected engine that produces 28bhp of power and 24Nm of torque. It is mated to 6-speed transmission. This machine can give a tough time to KTM Duke 200.


TVS BMW G310R



The Joint venture between BMW and TVS has brought a lot of excitement among bike aficionados. The TVS BMW G310R will be equipped with 310cc single cylinder power plant and it generates maximum power around 27bhp - 29bhp and 25Nm of torque. Further, the engine power of this bike is transferred to the rear wheel through a 6-speed gearbox.

Yamaha MT-03


 

Yamaha Motor India is now increasing its presence in the premium motorcycle segment. After introducing the YZF-R3 this year, the manufacturer is planning to hit the Indian shores with its new offering, Yamaha MT03. The company is planning to launch this naked version somewhere in the mid of 2016.  

The bike will be powered through a 321cc liquid-cooled, parallel twin engine that churn out a maximum power of 41.6bhp and peak torque of 30Nm. The engine is mated to 6-speed transmission.  The upcoming offering from the Japanese manufacturer is expected to be priced under Rs. 3 lacs and it will match its likes with the premium offerings like KTM 390 Duke, Kawasaki Z250 and Benelli TNT 300.


Honda CB650F



Honda is planning to launch the naked version of CBR650F and the bike will be known as CB650F. The machine has compact dimensions and it will be powered by 649cc inline four engine. CB650F will be easy to handle and will be lighter than Honda CBR650F. The bike generates a peak power of 87 bhp and 63 Nm of torque.

Hero MotoCorp is planning to launch its most powerful bike Hastur in 2016. With this machine, the Indian manufacturer is planning to tap in the new segment. The bike will be equipped with a 620cc twin cylinder that churns out maximum power around 79bhp and peak torque is around of 72Nm. As per the company claims, it can touch a top speed of 200kmph and do a 0-100 kmph in around 3.8sec.
