The Maestro Edge 125 and Pleasure 110 will be launched on May 13
- Hero’s upcoming Maestro Edge 125 could be the first fuel-injected scooter in India.
- It will be Hero’s second 125cc scooter after the Destini 125.
- The Maestro Edge will get front disc brakes and Hero’s i3S start-stop technology.
Following the launch of its three 200cc motorcycles, Hero MotoCorp is all set to launch two new scooters on May 13: the Maestro Edge 125 and the Pleasure 110. Of these two scooters, the Maestro Edge 125 is expected to get fuel injection.

Two-wheeler manufacturers are hard at work making their products ready for the upcoming and more stringent BS6 emission norms slated to come into effect on April 2020. To accomplish this, most of them will be equipping their bikes and scooters with fuel injection. Honda already is working on an Activa 6G which is expected to get fuel injection. However, while these products will take time to launch, the Maestro Edge 125 is coming next week. So, if the rumour turns out to be true, it could very well lay claim to being the first fuel injected scooter in India.
A fuel-injected motor would be more refined and fuel efficient compared to a 125cc carbureted mill. We expect the upcoming Maestro Edge 125’s power outputs to be more or less similar to the Destini 125’s 8.83PS and 10.2Nm.
First seen at the 2018 Auto Expo, the Maestro Edge 125 carries the same bodywork as the Maestro Edge 110 but is more conservatively styled. It has a front disc brake and is likely get Hero’s i3S start-stop technology, which already comes on the Destini 125. If launched with fuel injection, we expect the Maestro Edge 125 to be priced Rs 7000-8000 more than the Destini 125’s Rs 57,930 ex-showroom Delhi price.
We will be getting more details, pictures and launch prices of the new Maestro Edge 125 and Pleasure 110 on May 13. Stay tuned.
