India’s best-selling premium electric scooter comes with many unique features

The Ola S1 Pro is the flagship offering from Ola electric and it comes with a lot of features. Let’s go over them one by one.

The first thing that will be noticed is the lighting, Ola has given the scooter full LED lighting which has given the scooter a lovely modern touch to what is overall a retro looking design.

The Ola S1 Pro gets a touch enabled 7-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity via bluetooth. It also gets WiFi/LTE and GPS support which connects the scooter to the internet and gives riders additional functionalities such as anti-theft alerts and geofencing.

The TFT screen comes with full fledged navigation via Ola maps Riders can easily search different locations and the map will display directions like a traditional GPS. There’s also a “Get Home” mode which immediately sets the destination to your home before starting its navigation directions.

The new MoveOS 4.0 update from Ola has brought a lot more updates and functionalities to the scooter. Things such as riding moods which are tailor to different preferences. The scooter now also comes with an energy-saving “Vacation Mode” which allows the scooters to conserve its battery during long periods of non-use. Riders can also get energy insights which will give them additional information on the battery usage along with tips that will help in improving the scooter’s range.

Ola has also bought interesting updates that we haven’t seen on other electric scooters such as Hill Hold and 3 levels of Regenerative Braking. The Hill Hold function makes sure the scooter doesn’t roll back when stopped on a slope.

The new Ola S1 Pro also comes with cruise control. This allows riders to set a speed and have the scooter maintain that set speed automatically, without any rider input. This could be a great feature to have for riders who travel on long, empty, straight roads often.

Recently a video surfaced online showing a rider on an Ola S1 Pro, riding at a pretty high speed, without touching the handlebar. Even Ola's CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, weighed in on the matter.

The S1 Pro also has built-in speakers which allows the rider to play music while riding - quite unique for a scooter; and this feature is complemented by Party Mode, which allows multiple scooters to play the same song on all their speakers, almost in the manner of an impromptu concert.

Lastly, the S1 Pro gets Hypercharging (Ola’s version of fast charging) which provides 50km of range in just 5 minutes of charging. Overall, in sheer number of features, Ola has thrown in everything but the kitchen sink.
