After entering the list of top 10 selling motorcycles, the Bajaj V15 recorded another sales milestone by selling 1 lakh bikes in just 120 days.
Pune-based Bajaj Auto is known for its affordable and feature-loaded products. The company already rules the affordable sportsbike segment in India with its Pulsar range and has recorded many sales milestones in the commuter segment as well. Now, the new achievement of the company is in the executive class, with its newly-launched V15 motorcycle. Unveiled on February 1 this year, the bike was launched in the end of same month. Just after a couple of months, it joined the top 10 selling motorcycles group in India and it has now notched up another sales milestone.
The Bajaj V15 has now achieved a sales milestone of 1 lakh units in just 4 months, which is too good considering its segment. Incorporating a piece of the INS Vikrant's metal, the bike has emerged as one of the most sought-after 150cc commuter bikes in the country since its launch earlier this year. The Bajaj V15 averages 25,000 bikes per month and has helped Bajaj Auto to increase its overall market share in the premium commuter segment by 10 per cent.
Commenting on the milestone, Eric Vas, president (motorcycle sales), Bajaj Auto Ltd, said, “The invincible V was launched with the intent of giving a piece of history to every Indian. We are thrilled with the overwhelming response from the Indian customers. We are ramping up the production by September as we are very positive that these numbers will only continue to grow and sustain the Bajaj V as one of the bestselling premium commuter motorcycles in the country.”
Differentiated by its solid form and squat proportions, the Bajaj V makes you stand out from the crowd. It features a retro-modern styling with a solid built and neat fit and finish. Powering the bike is a 149.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, DTS-i engine, which churns out 12PS at 7,500rpm and delivers a peak torque of 13Nm at 5,500rpm. Key features of the bike include an ergonomic design, bright 60W headlamp, stylish alloy wheels, 240mm front petal disc brake, 120-section wide tubeless tyre at the rear and much more. The Bajaj V15 is available in 3 colours, namely Pearl White, Ebony Black and Cocktail Wine Red, with a price tag of Rs 62,002 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
