Piaggio launches Vespa Elegante Limited Edition in India; Priced at Rs. 78,999

Piaggio has launched the Limited Edition Vespa Elegante in India at a price of Rs. 78,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Targeting the discerning youth of today, seeking a differentiated premium product offering, this scooter marks a new grade in style and elegance in the premium scooter range. The company will produce only 3,500 units of the scooter and it will sport a limited edition "Elegante" badge.

Vespa Elegante is a cosmetically upgraded version of the VX 125 model and has the same engineering. Powering the limited scooter is the same 125cc, 3-valve engine, which powers the whole Vespa range in India. New features added to the Elegante are Metallic Brown and Pearl White colour options, new facia, chrome guards, split seats in Crimson and Beige, Elegante badge and colour coordinated Elegante Helmet.

Bolted on a Monocoque full-steel frame, the Vespa Elegante comes with aircraft derived single side-arm front suspension with anti-dive characteristics, while the rear gets dual hydraulic shock absorbers. Both the front and rear 10" alloys are covered by tubeless tyres and gets a 200mm disc brake at the front, while 140mm drum brakes at the rear.

Elegante will also be showcased through special previews that will be conducted in Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Speculations of its launch have already created a stir in the market and it is likely to receive a great response just like other products from the Vespa range. Riding high on the whopping response received for Vespa Esclusivo, Piaggio plans to introduce more such distinctive offerings at regular intervals. Annually, the 2w enthusiast can expect one or two such limited edition Vespa’s, which would be distinctive, exclusive and individually badged.
