Pre-Bookings For Matter Aera To Finally Open

India’s first electric motorcycle with a manual gear will be available to book soon

For those looking to buy an affordable electric motorcycle in the crowded electric scooters space, Matter Motor has just brought some good news.

This Ahmedabad-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer has announced that it’s all set to open pre-bookings of its electric motorcycles the Aera 5000 and Aera 5000+. The Aera is India’s first geared electric motorcycle with a 4-speed gearbox, liquid-cooled battery and a powertrain. The Aera also boasts a range of 125 km on a single charge. Matter had shown off a couple of electric naked and ADV concepts at Auto Expo 2023 in Feb, and later launched the Aera electric motorcycle on March 1, 2023.

Now though, pre-bookings of the Aera will open from 17th May 2023 and consumers can book their bikes from Matter’s official website, Flipkart or through oto.com for Rs.1,999. The pre-registration prices for the Aera 5000 is Rs. 1.44 lakhs and Rs. 1.54 lakhs for Aera 5000+. In the first delivery phase, Matter will be covering 25 states and districts. Matter says that there will also be a special early bird price for the pre-booking customers. 

Although we do not have any official delivery date, we think given the general public’s massive interest in moving to electric mobility, it won’t be long before you start noticing these motorcycles on the road.
