Revolt will be launching India’s first all-electric motorcycle tomorrow

  • Buyers will have a choice of four different exhaust note options.
  • The electric motorcycle is expected to be priced at around Rs 1 lakh (on-road).
  • Will be powered by lithium ion batteries.
  • Top speed has been limited to 85kmph.

Revolt is all set to launch India’s first fully electric motorcycle tomorrow. And right before its official launch, the company has shared a teaser video of the bike’s new feature. The upcoming electric motorcycle will sound like conventional petrol-powered motorcycles, thanks to the option of four artificial exhaust notes. However, whether the company will roll out more options via OTA updates in the future or not is yet to be seen. Also, whether customers can install their own custom exhaust notes or not is also unconfirmed as of now.

Revolt hasn’t revealed the specifications of the electric motorcycle yet, but we do know that it will be powered by lithium ion batteries. The bike maker claims that the electric motorcycle will have an ARAI-certified range of 156km, but the top speed will be capped at 85kmph.

Currently, 75 per cent of the bike is being localised, but the company aims to increase that to 100 per cent by 2020. Not just electric two-wheelers, but Revolt is also planning to enter personal, institutional and commercial markets. The first all-electric motorcycle from the brand is expected to be priced at Rs 1 lakh (on-road). At this price, it will go up against conventional petrol-powered motorcycles like the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the Suzuki Gixxer 155

We will be at the launch event tomorrow, so stay tuned to BikeDekho for more updates.
