Revolt Motors To Begin Operations In Mumbai Very Soon

Both the RV300 and RV400 electric motorcycles will be available in the city

Revolt Motors has already set up shop in 11 dealerships across five cities so far, including metro cities like Delhi and Chennai. It doesn’t, however, have any showrooms in the financial capital, Mumbai. With a population of over 20 million people, there is a huge potential customer base in the city and obviously, Revolt realises this because it will now start operating in Mumbai very soon.

From August 30, the electric two-wheeler manufacturer will begin selling its electric bikes through a showroom in Andheri, officially kicking off its Mumbai innings. Both the RV300 and RV400 will be available. It is not yet clear whether Revolt has set up any battery swapping stations in the city, but even if it hasn’t as yet, we expect it to do so shortly.

The RV400 is the flagship model in the lineup, powered by a 3kW motor which is good for 85kmph. It comes with three riding modes, and in Eco, it can squeeze a claimed 150km from its 3.24kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The 4.5-hour charging time is quite significant, but if you need to make a quick getaway, you can simply swap it out for a fully-charged battery. Easier said than done, though, since each one weighs 19kg and is mounted high up in the ‘fuel tank’ region.
