The 4G IoT connectivity will allow functions such as geo-fencing and location tracking
The Revolt RV300 and RV400 claim to be India’s first AI-enabled motorcycles, but in order to do this, they need to have some form of internet connectivity. That has now been taken care of, with Revolt and Vodafone Idea partnering to provide 4G IoT (Internet of Things) connectivity for the two motorcycles.
The motorcycles will feature a machine-to-machine SIM card that will provide 4G connectivity but cannot be used for other functions like making phone calls. The SIM will communicate with the bike’s control unit and also relay real-time information to Revolt’s servers.
This will allow the bikes to perform several functions such as voice commands, geo-fencing, real-time information & diagnostics and location tracking via Revolt’s app. You can read more about these features here.
The RV300 and RV400 can be bought either via the brand’s ‘My Revolt Plan’ subscription or through a one-time payment. The RV300 will set you back by Rs 84,999 while the RV400 costs Rs 98,999. The higher-spec RV400 is powered by a 3kW motor and is capable of a top speed of 85kmph in Sport mode, while giving a claimed range of 160km in City mode.
