Revolt has launched the RV 400 and RV300 in India. Of this the RV 400 is available in two variants: Base and Premium. All bikes come with a unique process of purchase. Given the price-sensitive nature of the Indian two-wheeler industry, Revolt has launched a plan called ‘My Revolt Plan.’ For the RV400 you pay Rs 3,499 per month for 37 months (base variant) and Rs 3,999 per month for 37 months (premium variant). The smaller RV300 costs Rs 2,999 per month for 37 months. While this might seem like an EMI scheme, the key difference is that the motorcycle will be on your name from day one. There are other benefits like free service and parts replacement bundled in the plan as well. So while the RV400 is an expensive motorcycle, it is a lot more affordable to own.
Other than the interesting purchase plan, the RV400 and RV300 get a host of features like all-LED lighting and three ways of starting the bike. You can start the bikes via a starter button on the fuel tank, via a smart key fob or even via your smartphone. The RV400 and RV300 gets 4G services that can be accessed via the Revolt smartphone app. It shows information like battery level, range and even allows you to start or stop the motorcycle via the app. You can also use the geofencing tech to set up a radius around your bike and it will send you a warning if the bike crosses said boundary. The most interesting feature, though, is the artificial sound. You can play up to 4 different bike sounds via a speaker built inside the bike for an enhanced experience. Powering the RV400 is an electric motor that delivers a peak power of 5 kW and 170Nm of torque. The RV400 gets 3.24kWh swappable lithium-ion batteries that deliver an ARAI-certified range of 156km. This is the highest range on any electric two-wheeler sold in India right now. The smaller RV300 gets a smaller 1.5kW motor and 2.7kWh battery and a claimed range between 80 and 150km. Revolt is offering an unlimited warranty on the battery. You get three riding modes: Eco, City and Sport, and range will differ in all three modes. The batteries take 4 hours to fully charge via a 15amp socket that's inbuilt into the bike. Another option is to swap the batteries at designated battery swap stations called Revolt Switch stations. Swapping batteries will be free until 31st Dec 2019. Revolt has already set up Switch stations in Delhi. According to Revolt, the battery can be swapped in under a minute. A fresh battery can be booked via the Revolt app and delivered to your doorstep.
