Sporting a lot of shiny bits, this test mule looks closer to being production-ready than ever
An upcoming Royal Enfield bike spotted? For the millionth time? Well, yes. Just as we revealed that EICMA 2022 might be the venue of the global unveiling of Enfield’s Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650, here’s a new set of the former’s spy shots doing the rounds on the Internet.
Before you scroll away, let me state that these spy shots reveal the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 to be closer to being production-ready as we have ever seen. While all the test mules we’ve seen so far were wrapped in black, this test mule sports quite a lot of parts with brushed metal finish.
These bits include the headlight cowl rim, triple clamp, headlight bracket, mirrors, handlebar risers, throttle body cover, brake/clutch levers, exhaust system, taillight rim and front fender mounting bracket.
The switch cube on this bike is the same rotary style one also seen on the smaller Meteor 350. Also seen on this test mule are the Ceat Zoom Crux tyres, the same ones seen on the Interceptor 650 and Continental 650. The test mule is likely also fitted with accessory footpegs, as these are more forward-biased than the standard ones.

Apart from these, everything else seen on the bike is the same as we have kept seeing on all the spy shots of the Super Meteor 650 like the upside down front suspension, unique alloy wheel design and the dual pod instrument console, one of which is the Tripper navigation assist pod.
This comes just as EICMA 2022 is almost a week away, while the Royal Enfield Rider Mania 2022 in Goa is only 18 days away. The first time we might be able to feast our eyes on this bike in all its might on our shores will likely be at Royal Enfield’s biking festival in Goa.
