The manufacturer saw a decline after the festive season ended
Hero MotoCorp's sales report for November 2024 shows a decline, marking a tough month for the country's largest two-wheeler manufacturer. The company sold 4,59,085 units, down 6.5% compared to the 4,91,050 units sold in November 2023.
A major area of concern for Hero is its performance in the scooter segment. Despite launching new models, scooter sales dropped significantly, with only 33,949 units sold last month, compared to 49,774 units in the same period last year. While Hero introduced the new Destini 125, it has yet to launch. Other models like the Hero Xoom 125R and Xoom 160 are expected next year, which could be affecting the brand’s sales numbers.
However, there is scope for recovery. At the 2024 EICMA motorcycle show, Hero showcased several new models that could help regain momentum. These included the Hero XPulse 210, Hero Karizma XMR 250, Xtreme 250, Mavrick 440 with USD fork and the Vida Z electric scooter. These new launches could potentially help Hero MotoCorp turn the tide and strengthen its position in the market.
