The Japanese automaker, Suzuki had relatively less interesting offerings at the 2016 Auto Expo as it only came with a few updates and no new model. At the event, Suzuki not only showcased its heavy two-wheeler machine but also brought some motocross vehicles. One of them Suzuki DR-Z70, a mini dirt bike. I think, this model has been developed for teenage riders who can use it to learn the basics of riding or enhance their riding skills.
Visually, the bike resembles with its elder siblings the RM-Z250 and RM-Z450 and also gets the same Yellow Paint scheme. As expected this tiny motorcycle mostly attracts teenagers at the Suzuki stand and while I was on this pavilion at the expo I could feel that not just the teens even their parents were impressed by this model.
Suzuki DR-Z70 is equipped with a 70cc, twin-valve, air-cooled, SOHC, 4-stroke engine. The motor is coupled to a 3-speed transmission with an automatic clutch. The bike boasts premium displacement count as compared to its competitors and according to the claims by the company the mill can develop enough power and torque to keep the machine ahead in any race. It is fitted with 10-inch wheels at both the front and the rear. For an easy start, the bike comes with a start button that is mounted on the handlebar start the motor and assured keyed ignition offers utmost parent control.
