This concerns all units manufactured between August 2019 and March 2021
Suzuki Motorcycles India has recalled its quarter-litre offerings, the Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250, over excessive engine vibration. A total of 199 motorcycles -- manufactured between August 12, 2019 to March 21, March 2021 -- have been recalled. While the Japanese bike maker is yet to make an official announcement, the Society of Indian Automotive Manufacturers (SIAM) has specified the details on its website.
As per the SIAM website, the cause of excessive engine vibration is the incorrect positioning of the crank balancer drive gear. The notification stated that the resulting vibrations could damage two of the six tail light mounting lugs but are unlikely to affect the functionality of the tail light.

The voluntary recall process has already begun, and Suzuki will fix the issue free of cost. We recommend you contact your nearest authorised dealership at the earliest and get your bike checked. Last month, Honda had also recalled the H’Ness CB350 over a faulty gearbox.
