Suzuki Motorcycle India associates with 'Road Safety Week'

Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) associates with 'Road Safety Week', organized by the Delhi Transport Department. The Transport Department Zonal Office, Vasant Vihar has organized the 'Road Safety Week' from January 11 - 17, 2015, within the national capital, to increase awareness of the importance of safe driving.

A variety of educational banners, safety posters, safety films, pocket guides and leaflets related to road safety will be distributed to drivers and pedestrians. Suzuki two-wheelers is actively supporting all the activities undertaken during this week, which are meant to encourage and promote safe and responsible driving.

Mr. Atul Gupta, Executive Vice President, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Ltd. said, "As a responsible automobile company, it is imperative that we are active participants in the initiative that educates and encourages people to drive safely. Two wheeler drivers are at a higher risk on the roads. The key to safe driving is a combination of defensive driving, adherence to traffic rules, situational awareness and common road sense. Suzuki is pleased to be associated with an initiative that may save the lives of countless motorists and pedestrians."

Mr. Anil Chhikara, Motor Licensing Officer said, "Road safety needs to be inculcated in our daily lifestyle. Any form of transport, whether cars or aircraft, involves risk to human life. We can mitigate these risks by observing traffic rules and alertness as a matter of habit. Disciplined driving and adherence to traffic rules will minimize accidents and occurrence of road rage. A safe and prudent driving culture will make our lives pleasant, energetic and progressive."
