Suzuki to Launch Dual Tone Gixxer Soon, Bookings Open

Remember the spy picture of the dual tone Suzuki Gixxer, spotted in May this year? Now, the company has confirmed the launch of exciting dual-tone shades for the bike. According to an advertisement coming on their official website, bookings of the new Gixxer is open and you can reserve one for you just by an SMS. Currently, the website is showing just one shade of from the range of dual tone colours- Blue and White. However, there will be more on offering and all the paint schemes will be inspired by the traditional Suzuki Racing Colours.

Mechanically, it will be the same Suzuki Gixxer, which is currently available in the 4 single tone colours. The bike has a proper streetfighter appearance with masculine styling and very comfortable ergonomics. Powering the motorcycle is a 154.9cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC engine, which is based on the SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) technology. The advance technology claims to improve the fuel economy of the motor without compromising the performance. Maximum power output of the Suzuki Gixxer is 14.6bhp coming at 8,000rpm and it delivers a peak torque of 14Nm at 6,000rpm. Still, it claims to return a fuel economy of up to 63.4kmpl.

The Suzuki Gixxer runs on well designed 17”, lightweight, 3-split-spoke alloy wheels, which come with meaty 100/80 section front and 140/60 section rear tubeless tyres. The front wheel has been equipped with 266mm disc brake, while the rear wheel gets a 130mm drum type braking unit. It features masculine 41mm telescopic forks at the front and a 7-step adjustable mono-shock suspension at the rear. It also gets a fully digital instrument cluster and LED tail lamp.

The Suzuki Gixxer costs around Rs. 84,600 (on-road, Delhi), however, the dual-tone version could cost a bit extra.
