The video of Marc Marquez, MotoGP & Motocross rider doing a backflip released on 28th December had gone viral and the most interesting thing about this video is that it is fake. Surprisingly, Marquez himself revealed that the video was not real and the backflip was actually done by Motocross rider Danny Torres. In the video, Marc is shown riding a four-stroke motocross bike and a closer look at the flip reveals that the machine used in jump was a two-stroke.
According to Marquez, the prank was done to celebrate ‘Dia de Los Santos Inocentes’ or the Spanish version of April fool’s day. It is also known as the day of the Holy innocents. It was superb editing which made the video flawless and one can easily be fooled by the superb attempt.
Recently, Marc Marquez was in the news for his brawl with Italian rider Valentino Rossi at Sepang in Malaysian Grand Prix. This led to a lot of controversies as Marc was rivalled against Rossi and finally the six-time champ Rossi was asked to start from the back of the grid at the Valencia GP and was given three penalty points. Later in an interview Rossi stated, ‘Marquez wins his fight, he made me lose the championship,' He further added. 'His handlebar touched my foot and my foot slipped off, a bike can't crash only with a touch.'
