The bike remains mechanically unchanged, though
CFMoto’s entry-level sportbikes are something we’ve always wished to get our hands on. One of them is the 250SR, which was recently spotted in China wrapped in a new race livery called ‘Flame Orange’.
It is inspired by the older blue/green race livery and gets similar graphics. However, this one blends flashy glossy orange and blue panels. For added sportiness, you also get an orange seat cowl at the rear and mock carbon fibre tank panel.
In this shade, the 250SR certainly looks more aggressive and eye-catching than the previous colour options.

Underneath the bodywork, though, the 250SR remains as is. It employs a 249.2cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine churning out 28PS and 22Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The motor is housed in a steel tube frame sprung on an inverted fork and a monoshock, both from KYB.
Premium features like all-LED illumination and a TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity come standard.
The bike retails at the same 21,680 Yuan (Rs 2.5 lakh) in China. If it ever came to India at this price, the 250SR would be a value-for-money offering and lock horns with the KTM RC 200 and TVS Apache RR 310.
Instead, CFMoto is planning to bring the bigger 300SR here. For details about the 300SR’s India launch, check out our exclusive story.
