Besides the racing livery, it also has more grunt

There’s no doubt that the Keeway Sixties 300i is a good-looking scooter. In its blue shade, the scooter pays perfect homage to the era of bell bottom pants and rock and roll music. However, it now gets a Gulf Oil racing livery that elevates the aesthetics up to a whole new level.

While the styling remains the same, the livery is now a combination of Gulf’s light blue and orange, found on their racing cars from 1967 to the late 1990s. The headlight console and grill on the apron are draped in orange against the backdrop blue. An orange stripe running across the front fender, along with the Gulf oil branding on the apron, rings in strong nostalgia.

The floorboard and dashboard are completely painted in orange which contrast the light blue really well while also lending the scooter a quirky personality. An oversized Gulf Oil logo towards the rear of the side cover and a prominent orange stripe running down the side of the scooter further scream retro. The rear is again finished in orange, which compliments the rest of the livery perfectly.

Underneath the stunning exterior is a 278.2cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 21.75PS and 23.5Nm. In comparison, the India-spec Sixties 300i features the same engine, but it’s liquid-cooled and makes 2.79PS and 1.5Nm less.

Underpinnings include a telescopic suspension, and it rolls on 120-section, 12-inch tyres, similar to the India-spec Sixties 300i. Based on the images, it gets disc brakes at both ends along with dual-channel ABS.

There’s no official word if Keeway would introduce this paint scheme on the Indian version of the Sixties 300i, although we are rooting for them to do so. This retro scooter in a retro paint scheme is definitely going to be an eye-candy, and will command massive road presence. Also, it becomes a must have for motorsport enthusiasts.

The Keeway Sixties 300i currently does not have any competitors in its category. Although, in the retro-150cc segment, you have the Vespa SXL 150 and the Vespa VXL 150 to choose from.
